  4. <p>The base is located eight miles east of Denver with the Colorado ANG's 140th FW operating the F-16C/D and the CT-43A to train ANG navigators and provide transportation duties. An Army National Guard unit is also stationed at Buckley along with non-flying Naval Reserve and Marine Corps Reserve squadrons. Buckley is close to the popular Colorado ski resorts and attracts a large number of visiting aircraft at weekends.
